About Me

“When we protect ourselves from all that life has to offer, we limit our opportunity to grow.”
---Jeff Santiago, Rozinante
In his latest release, Santiago writes about the need we all share—the need to expand our life experiences. To give ourselves the chance to become more than what we are or might imagine for ourselves. The need to open up to each other, embrace the vulnerable along the great adventure called life. Easier said than done.
The song Seen this World shows that everyone experiences bad relationships, which leave us damaged or somehow incomplete. However, Santiago reminds us we must move past those bitter emotions and welcome the chance to become something new, now that we are free again.
Relationships are not the only area Santiago explores in his music, but the array of issues that face humans in the 21st century, a time when the people, jobs, and cities we live in can control us. For instance, the song NYC chronicles Santiago’s own life in the world’s Big Apple, a city as dazzling as it is overwhelming. Santiago stresses the need not to allow these outside influences to dictate who we are.
In these and other tracks, Rozinante reminds us life is a journey of continual growth, and we have the power to influence that growth with the people and experiences we choose to fill our lives.
For this project, Santiago teams up with singer/songwriter Chad Treatman and producer James Book.
