DJ Jon Ferrari began his career over 12 years ago in college radio as a peak hour disc jockey and on air personality. Combining house, hip hop and reggae with jazz, rock and new age gave him a unique style and education that would extend well into his future accomplishments.Jon has utilized this variety to form an uncommon style that has developed into a diverse library of music. He has followed a path that is as unique as the music that has influenced him.
While studying for a degree in Architecture and Interior Design, DJ Ferrari was presented with the opportunity to design and operate a nightclub in Greece on the island of Crete. Seizing the moment, Jon brought with him a slice of the NYC nightlife and infused it with ethnic favorites. His work at New York Underground created a unique experience for the beachfront tourist destination that attracted visitors from all over Europe and amplified his musical tastes and talents.
Following his tryst in Greece, Jon returned to New York and went to work opening a venue in Manhattan where he could showcase his musical talents. DJ Ferrari opened JA Lounge in 1998 in the heart of Greenwich Village and quickly become known as a premier venue for hearing the latest releases and underground beats with an emphasis on tribal, trance, progressive and deep house music varieties. Featured in several city publications, he has established a distinctive reputation along with being chosen for €œThe Best of New York€? in the Village Voice for best music in a DJ Lounge.
Maintaining his home base residency at JA Lounge, Jon Ferrari has gone on to performing in other cities both domestic and abroad. From the WMC 2002 at NOBU South Beach in Miami and MIXX Nightclub at the new Borgata Casino Hotel in Atlantic
City to repeat engagments and tours in Venezuela and Italy on the island of Sardegna, he is reaching acclaim in the electronic music industry worldwide. Bringing his knwledge as a DJ into the studio, 2006 finds DJ Jon Ferrari moving ever forward,
entering in the production and remixing of his own tracks to introduce to the growing market of electronic dance music.
