Justice is a 25yr. old hip hop artist and song writer from the city of Syracuse, N.Y. His smooth and articulate voice combined with his vast vocabulary and lyrical versatility has gained him much attention from both minor and major record labels.
Justice was born Jay to Annie and Jacob. As a child, Justice was abuse at home by his father who struggled with serious drug use for as long as Justice could recall.
He witnessed and was a victim of abuse until his mother left his father at the age of twelve. His father would often come home from after being out high several hours at night and enter the home in a rant and rave looking for more money and things to sell. Justice would lock himself in his room and with his head phones on, blasting music late into the night, sometimes until school the next morning.
When he, his mother and sister left his father in 93’ his love for music was the only thing Justice brought along with him.
While away in college in Long Island, Justice quickly made connections with multiple recording labels in NYC. He eventually began working on completing an album with an independant label which for financial reasons fell through. This however did not detoure Justice from progressing further with hip hop and he soon was working on completing his album again within the next year.
The time away from the label gave Justice more time to critique his previous works and make changes where he saw fit.
Since then Justice has worked with artist such as Lupe Fiasco, Street Lotto, B. Montana (Dogg Pound), Shells, Posterboy, and Cadillac Tah. He has worked with producers from Rawkus Records, Murder Inc. Records, DutchBeetz and the list goes on and on.
