MySpace Glitter GraphicsMonico is a native of Chicago, IL and is a proud graduate of Christian Fenger Public High School on the south side of Chicago (Go Titans!) She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College at the University of Chicago (1992) and her Master of Arts in Social Work from the School of Social Service Administration at the University of Chicago (1996). Monico has worked in the fields of domestic violence and child welfare for over 15 years as a counselor, program coordinator, case worker, supervisor and certified Trainer/Curricula Developer. She has been blessed with a promotion and is now the statewide manager of a newly developed practice support program for DCFS.Monico is and avid scrapbooker and is dedicated to her family, community, and church. A woman of many talents, such as singing, acting, directing, and creative event planning, Monico's gift and passion lies within teaching, educating, and improving the quality of life for those who have been abused, neglected and underserved in the community.
