About Me

I was born and raised in Hinton, West Virginia, a small town in southern West Virginia. Not really in the town of Hinton itself but Chestnut Mountain, which was about 12 miles up in the mountains north of Hinton. I have lived in Georgia since 1995 but I will always be a West Virginian at heart. West Virginia will always be home no matter what. I am a Christian but my religious views are more middle-of-the-road. I am conservative about some things but liberal about other things. I think it's more important to just be a Christian rather than being labeled a conservative or liberal. One of the things that saddens me is all the divisions in the church right now and the disrespect that various groups have for each other. Even if we don't agree, we can at least be respectful to each other and say things in a loving way. I have a dog (a Welsh Corgi/Jack Russell terrier mix named William Tecumseh Sherman) who is extremely energetic.
