About Me

My name is Justin and most importantly, I am a Christian. Without God in my life, I wouldn't be where I am today. I'm currently a Junior Bible/History Major at Freed-Hardeman University. Being at Freed has been a great blessing in my life. I have made some of the most amazing friends and grown so much. I am a member of an amazing social club, Psi Mu, of which I will be serving as president in the Fall '07 semester. Friends are one of the most important things in my life. My life wouldn't be the same without all of my amazing. To my friends both at Freed, and back home, and wherever else you might be, I love you all. I have a strong passion for music. I've always been one to be playing some kind of music most of the time. Mostly I listen to rock and metal, which doesn't make me a hypocrite because not all metal is Satanic, like some narrow minded people believe. I especially enjoy Symphonic Metal and Power Metal (bands such as Nightwish, Symphony X, and Kamelot). I've been playing guitar for about 6 years now. I write some of my own material, but mostly right now I'm playing acoustic covers of some of my favorite songs. I try to be a mostly open minded person. I will actually listen to what you have to say, and not make hasty generalizations like a lot of people. I read a lot. I love fantasy stories and especially high fantasy, such as Tolkien's work. I try to write a little bit too, but I've been rather unsuccessful at it for a few years now. Now that you know a few things that I love, here are a few things that I hate: closed-mindedness, posers, fakes, basketball, my computer(it's a piece of trash), and I generally dislike most rap music.
