I'm an available bass player looking for a band, project or any other music situation that I can sink my teeth into. Open to just about anything as long as I have room to groove. For the last couple of years I was in an original Sacramento band named Syrius Jones. I performed a lot of shows with the band and recorded a CD.
Probably my career highlight was playing in a 10 piece latin jazz band at the Crest Theater with Pete Escovedo from Santana sitting in on percussion..good times :)
In 1991 I graduated from Berklee College of Music where I studied bass and immersed my brain in as much music as it could soak in. It was a great experience but a difficult one. I was a shy kid from the suburbs of Pennsylvania and just out of high school. Having to live in the big city of Boston and to be surrounded by so many great musicians from around the world was definitely intimidating. That was my trial by fire.
I am more than happily married to my wife Natalie. Along with being hot, she's an incredibly talented singer and songwriter. Her CD, ENJAE, is available now! I was fortunate, and honored, to play bass on several of the songs. Check out myspace.com/enjae for details.
