I am here for Friends

About Me

Layout made by Love For LayoutsWell, most of the people who are going to read this know my name is Alejandro and I am from Venezuela. But I want to share some things I've seen and experienced on my own. . . We are lucky to have plenty of the basic needs (food, shelter, water, etc), and we are lucky to live here because we have all the resourses to live confortably; but as a result of that there are a lot of people who worship material things. We have some of the best colleges and universities the world can have so there's no exscuse for us to not make a change. the problem is (we go to school to learn how to get rich),but in reality, we become intellectual fools instead, and we base our careers around money so we can buy all the unnecessary things the media want us to buy. I want you to think about the people who don't even have the most basic resources to satisfy their stomachs. People whos only hope and dreams are to be like us and have the same opportunities we have (all the material things). They envy us because they have the same rights as human beings as us; but they were'nt lucky enough to be born above the poverty line this system created, you know the wealthy people (World Leaders) to keep them at the bottom of society while they (the wealthy) get richer. There are countries where poverty is so devastating that children beg for a bite of food or a drink of your soda (This happens here to). You might think it is not our fault that people in other countries suffer of hunger and poverty; but it is. Our extreme consumerist culture and society reflect on the poor countries and it's people. How? by creating sweatshop economies in already poor countries that while it creates jobs, sweatshops are the new "slave system". The conditions and pay of this sweatshops are dreadful and inhumane. (but we have to have our name brand or we're not cool)... Who we choose for president also reflect on the whole world. Our international policies and unfair loan policies are created to destroy the economy of other countries while benefiting our own economy. Unfair competition of goods (foods) also have eliminated many industries in undeveloped countries. Wich mean that our products get sold in other countries benefiting our economy; but their own goods dont get sold and the whole country suffers. Our unfair trade system have poor countries competing with our exported goods and it is'nt fair. We have to become more concious and educated before we make a decision that will affect the entire world. While I encourage people to travel and experience other cultures to enrich their own culture and become a more well rounded person, the waste we produce in other countries is devastating. While tourism helps countries tremendously, we also polute their beaches and natural habitats because we dump our waste where ever it is most confortable for us. (no wonder they hate us in ither countries) ............ "One has to have a great dose of humanity, a great dose of the feeling of justice and of truth not to fall into extreme dogmatism, into a cold scholasticism, into isolation from the masses. Every day one has to struggle that this love to a living humanity transform itself into concrete acts, in acts that serve as examples, as motivation." - Che Guevara.philosophical mind and the carnal instinct of human nature.
