Dephinger was a concept born in the mind of the big nasty. But was not truly formed till the year 2000. The concept was basically to get as waisted as possible and suck........there were no songs, no practices, just a bunch of noise fashioned after the great bands of the 70s/80s such as Night Ranger, Tesla, and the all powerful Journey, with the lyrical content in the likes of the Mentors and GG Allin, it was Basically music to piss off self righteous so called punks. Most people came to our shows just to see what would happen next ,and not for any other reason. After all the shtick wore off and every one in town had decided that they absolutely hated us "Voted most hated band in Phoenix 2000,01,02,03 by everyone that ever heard us" the truly dedicated members of Dephinger decided to see what would happen if we really took the band seriously....... nothing changed!...............anyway, Dephinger has now graced the stage with great bands such as J F A, Agent Orange, Gang Green, Dr know, The new but old lineup of the Mentors, Rezin, McRad, Big world, Blood Spasm,Torg, etc...... etc..... oh ya and the all powerful CHRISTFUCKER....... with three releases (Since your Mammy Got Loose,2004/ Turd in a Punch Bowl live at the hidden house,2002/ Eat a Dick 2007) countless tours to the east and west coast, fresh off the Endless Scummer Tour to Skatopia, Dephinger is going to release a split 7" with the Declaimed. this will be our third with Arizona's own AZPX skateboards/records.
