This is all old stuff!! I haven't seen any new movies lately, last I saw was the newest Harry Potter, and before that was Disturbia. I saw Silent Hill opening weekend. Unfortunately, the movie theater was pretty much empty. Video game movies don't usually cut it as a "good movie". BloodRayne looked like it sucked more than imaginable, but I LOVE the game. So as far as video game movies go, Silent Hill was pretty good. A few times I wanted to shout out "Find yourself some weapons and ammo!" or "Punch out that wall right there, you'll get a bonus!" There was one dude yelling at the screen. I never knew this before, but apparently black people tend to do this. This is what I've heard just in the past few days as I've told this story. Apparently, Howard Stern did a whole show on it. I thought it was pretty funny, he'd yell out "They don't want you Rose, they want Sharron, go home!" and stuff like that, I donno, I thought it was funny! I heard a "Woah, that scared the shit out of me" or two coming from the group of college kids in the back. Anyway, did you know that Silent Hill is based on a town in PA? Check out these websites!

I also went to see XIII, you know, the third installment of the X-Men series. Something was really missing. I'm not sure what, but it was gone! It wasn't a bad movie, it's just that the first two were a bit (a big bit) better. The movie started out pretty cool, they were practicing for a big battle in a holographic chamber type of thing (yeah, I watch Star Trek) and that was really cool. But then after that, whatever it was that was missing, was really missing. People died in the movie too, and usually I'm affected by movie characters being blown into oblivion - especially if they are a character that I've grown to know and love (like Mace in Star Wars, boy did that have me a mess!!!) but in this movie, it wasn't even an "Oh well, he's gone", he was just gone! I was a bit affected at the end when another character went "POOF", but probably because she was also in Nip/Tuck and I sorta had a thing for her hahaha
While watching the annoying previews at XIII, I saw one for the new Superman remake. Remakes kinda lack something for me. I thought they shouldn't have "gone there" with a remake of Superman, but, sheesh, this looks spectacular! OH! I know what was missing from XIII!! The director that went to work on Superman!! So that BANG that was lacking in XIII looks like it might just be there in Superman.
Now on to my movie listing!

I'd rather watch CMTv than the rest of the shit on MTV. Cowboy U is great. Then there's the Outdoor Life Network with the Rodeo shows. I SOOOO want to go to one in real life. Justin McBride is my hero hahahaha And as much as I used to dislike Ted Nuggent (sp?) I LOVE his Wanted: Ted or Alive. Brings out the killer instincts in me!! HAHAHAHAHA Makes me wanna go out and kill things. I can now proudly say, "I know how to kill a chicken with a hatchet or just my BARE HANDS." Though his pompous ass is in that SuperGroup show on VH1. They could do without him. I guess I could do without that show as well, but it sucks to have an addictive personality. I should do a blog about my addictions... hmmmmm.....

Some of my all time favorite books are The Erotic Adventures of Sleeping Beauty, all three books, by A. N. Roquelaure, or Anne Rice (and no I'm not a fucking trendy goth for liking Anne Rice. I enjoyed reading her books before YOU even knew what goth is, and before YOU became fucking trendy... Anne-Rice-aphobes are like homophobes, they really love her and don't want to be seen as a trendy goth or whatever Anne Rice lovers are seeming like today, like homophobes are probably gay themselves. If you like something that is currently "trendy", so fucking what?)
I Love Swan Song by Robert McCammon . No it's not a The Stand rip-off, it's a gazillion times better. Steven King could have taken lessons from Robert McCammon.

Erotica: An Illustrated Anthology of Sexual Art and Literature by Charlotte Hill, William Wallace and the other books that follow in that series are very intriguing. I absolutely can't believe that we live in such a sheltered society (or are expected to!) after reading these books. An absolute must for anyone that has ever enjoyed (even if secretly) ANY form of erotic art.
Lately my vision sucks, so I'm working on a collection of audio books. I've recently "read" Memoirs of a Geisha. I couldn't "put it down"! Plopped it in my MP3 player and listened to it for two days straight :) Haven't seen the movie though, I heard it's nothing like the book, and from the commercials for the book, I could tell it really wasn't. So I have no intention of seeing it.
I was able to get a subscription with the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicap (cuz if you didn't know already, I am almost the first and very much of the second hahahaha) and they've got just about every book I could possibly ever want to read on cassette tape. I just have to get my butt moving on picking out what I want and requesting it. It's pretty cool. They gave me the cassette player, and they'll send me audio books that only play on that particular player, and then when I'm done, I send them back. Sorta like NetFlix, but a books-on-tape-flix.
A REAL book that has come in handy lately is Home Depot ... 1-2-3 . Lotsa great helpful tips for someone having to take care of their own home!!
Along those lines, once I'm done writing my first erotic novel, I'll be working with Home Depot to create a do it yourself kinda "Turn Your Living Space Into A Bondage Friendly Home... 1-2-3" type of thing. Check back for a link to both on Amazon ;-)
I also love reading my manga graphic novels. Right now I'm stuck on Chobits , Cross , Angel Sanctuary , and Model . I just placed an order with that place the links are from. Usually the books are about $10 at the bookstore. Those are $7something, and it pays to get 4 or more for the shipping costs with the books to be less than getting them at the bookstore.
