Lord a.k.a L.E.G.A. Da Rap Juganot...born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey and is of Puerto Rican descent,came to realize his calling at a very early age.Whether it started from his performances in front of the bedroom mirror or as a DJ during his elementary school days, Lord realized he had the natural talent to become a star in the music game.
Rik a.k.a. Rik Dinero...born in the Dominican Republic and arrived in Paterson, New Jersey at a very young age. Rik started on his path to Hip-Hop stardom after experiencing his first official recording studio session at the age of ten.
Rik and Lord continued to separately develop their talent as teenagers. Eventually and ironically, these cross-town Paterson rivals encountered each other for the first time not on their home turf but in a Manhattan recording studio while working on separate music projects. Lord, who was then a member of the group Children of a Nu-Breed and Rik, who was part of the group Infinite Jules decided to follow up on a suggestion from the studios engineer to collaborate. The partnership began to show promise almost immediately starting Lord and Rik on their path in the rap music industry as Patersons newest face of Hip-Hop.
Their current notoriety is a result of their long list of musical achievements, including opening up for and performing with such recording artists as Big Pun, Fat Joe and the Terror Squad, Jaheim, JadaKiss, The Lox, Fabolous & Ruff Endz. The duo have also appeared on The Drama Hour with The Drama King Kay Slay on New Yorks number one radio station Hot 97, where they were officially crowned by the King himself as the hottest act out of New Jersey,earning the title of the Drama Hours best act. The group has received several excellent write ups in the press,including The Source and The Nex Level. YN'R were also featured on the Bloodline/Universal soundtrack album to the motion picture movie Cradle to the Grave starring DMX. Their song, C2G featuring Fat Joe landed on all the key DJ mixtapes across the U.S.
This dynamic duo is also highly respected in the mixtape arena, getting down with mixtapes from DJs Kay Slay, Enuff, Green Lantern, Doo Wop, Envy, Ron G, DJ Kaled and numerous others. Independently, the group released a fourteen track album in 2003 sold out of the trunks of their cars. Their lp included features from Tony Sunshine, Cliff Lighty and production from Thugged Out Entertainments S.P.Killa and Kev Kyze, which sold over twenty thousand copies!
Currently the group is working on a sequel project called "Years in Da Makin". Their current project will also have a star studded line up.The album will include the club smash Move and radio hits Trying to be Somebody, Still Hood and Here We Go Again. YN'R has released a 12-inch featuring the street anthems "So Aggressive" and "Dimes Or More".
