Band Bio
yakmilksoda exists since about
1991, when yak got his Porta 05. 2 tapes with 60 minutes of "music"
were released, including gems like Looking
For David , an ode to David Hasselhoff, consisting of drunken
singing, kazoos and home organ; or Flipper ,
a semi-sinister lovesong for a parakeet with outrageous guitar picking;
many other songs were not so plain poppish. A couple of songs got
released on that legendary tape sampler Queen Jogli schwaenzt die Hoelle .
No fame, great time.
Later on, yakmilksoda tried
to use a computer to make music, which was quite the end of it all, the
then late pop musical masterpiece Good
Night John Boy should be the last real song for quite some time,
released on that legendary vinyl sampler Unbekannte Elemente . Now all effort
was put into consuming cheap hash and fumbling about with a crack
version of Fruity Loops, tons of hilarious techno pisstakes were made.
From some time ago until now on, yakmilksoda
got split into various persons to cope with a multitude of things to
do: Wrangle all the technical crap, write songs, get sort of skilled
with different instruments, trying to cope with the infinite
possibilities working with a DAW has, trying to fuse all the different
styles and sounds.
Today,
yakmilksoda is one of the most
skilled, but even more: laziest bands of this beautiful orange planet,
planning, plotting, practising.
