About Me

Hey, my name's Gem, as you may have already guessed. Please don't call me Gemma, I find it infuriating. Really do. Glad we've got that one sorted.
I seem to spend most my time with other people, and usually, that's just how I like it. It doesn't even matter if we're doing something special or sitting on the grass chatting, it's always when I'm at my happiest.
I'm pretty shockingly average, even for a gay. I laugh, I cry, I make mistakes; I'm just like you really. If you saw me in a crowd I probably wouldn't stand out much. Well, maybe above a few people, I'm quite long.
I believe it's personality that counts in a person, not what brand of shoes you wear or what colour hair you have. After all, looks will fade, trends will come and go...a sense of humour and intelligence are the only lasting turn-ons.
I'm a bit of a funny fucker, so I hear. I think this is a good thing. And not just in the private joke sense, although in my friendship group there are plenty of those. Wit is charming, in my book, and the more random the better. Sarcasm also rates highly, but only with certain people who can pull it off and at the right times. It may well be the lowest form of wit but sometimes, it's fucking funny. I'd take an intelligent joke or comment over sarcasm any day of the week though. With humour and intelligence, you can't go far wrong.
Speaking of which, I'm pretty intelligent [apparently] and can hold my own in most conversations with people of all ages. I do everyday at work. Having said that, I use the word "innit" an obscene amount. But this is not because I'm stupid or a pikey, I am neither.
I am currently training to be a solicitor which I usually really enjoy. The law is something that has always fascinated me as it is so complex. My view on it is, this is a career that will allow me to have the kind of lifestyle I wish to have in the future. I'm going to work hard now so I don't have to later on. Ideally though, I would like to teach the world to spell, use grammar and punctuation properly. It really isn't hard.
I like to think I'm quite nice most the time and always go well beyond the call of duty for those I care a great deal about. It's all part of the job, really. I try my best. I can be a cunt though, when needed, although I am pleased to say that is a rare occurence. I will also forgive, but never forget.
I have pretty much everything I could ask for at the moment, apart from a couple of things which I'm hoping I'll pick up along the way soon. When the time's right and all that.
I am a social butterfly and live for the weekend. Clubbing is high on the agenda, always, as is getting blind drunk with my specials. They all know who they are [well, most of them are down there *points down* apart from the sensible lame few who don't have MySpace] and I adore them all. All so different yet all so very lovely. A few of them have been there for longer than I can remember and without them at times, I think I would be lost. They know me better than I know myself and our foundations are solid (!) ...they make me happy. Some people you know will come into your life and leave it as quickly as they entered it. Others will stay. I can tell immediately which category each person I meet will fall into and I'm pretty much always right about that.
That's about it really. Anything else that anyone wants to know, ask me. Not that anyone's read all that anyway, but you should. And if you don't want to, you should go away now. Oh, and I'm "a dribbler, a liability and don't take me out". Yes, quite.

My Interests

THE GOOD SHIT...

I'd like to meet:

Most people, everyone should have at least SOMETHING interesting to say.
Unless you're a) a sleazy straight man, b) a sleazy woman wanting a threesome with your munter of a boyfriend with a cock the size of a pencil, c) can't spell for shit or d) if you're mean. You should go away please. Now.
But to everyone who does not fall into the above bracket(s), hey, how do you do? :)
