With a dark, slightly jazzy, gothic / psychedelic rock sound, Cobweb Strange has been compared to a bizarrely wide range of artists from classic rock groups like the Doors, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath and King Crimson to 80s alternative groups such as The Police, U2, Echo & The Bunnymen and R.E.M. to New Age artists like Nightnoise & Andreas Vollenweider to modern bands like Porcupine Tree, A Perfect Circle, White Zombie and Tool - even though Cobweb Strange doesn't actually sound much like any of these bands. Cobweb Strange formed in Atlanta, GA in 1995 and has since released three studio albums, one EP, a "Best of" CD and has been featured on numerous compilation CDs. "A Breath of October," the band's third album, offers a new landscape of tones to explore. It's sound has been compared to smoke drifting from a neighbor's fireplace on a cold, wet fall evening: dark, lonely, mellow, psychedelic sounds with a gothic, jazzy flair and strange progressive rock passages.

"...With A Breath of October (Cobweb Strange) have given us a disc that shows a band finding their own way in the musical landscape and bringing a new maturity to their sound. It is really an unusual sound, rather dark and a bit strange, but I can't help but like it. I look forward to seeing where these guys find themselves next, as they continue to show more and more promise...."
