I am a proud father. My daughter, Isla Kelly Gard, is healthy and doing well along with my wife Brooke. We are a happy American family. We have a dog Charlie, pay a mortgage, take walks in the city to get ice cream, and go to Target on the weekends. Obviously, those of you who know me also know that I have a knack for making a sarcastic remark here or there. In all honesty though, I am at a good place in my life which is a strange feeling that I have not felt in awhile. This is not to say that I didn't enjoy life before, but there is a certain sense of instability attached to your 20's. Now that I am nearing 30 I can start to see aspects of my life taking shape and it gives me a hope. I am sure that new learning experiences and instability lie ahead, but for know I am glad that I have a breather.I do miss the spontaneity of going on unplanned trips, meeting interesting people in drinking establishments, and sleeping until noon. Although I am being introspective, I still enjoy the mindless activities of playing golf, watching bad action movies, and wondering if Brett Favre will retire.
