About Me

Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Groovy

Well....I'm 40...& happily married for almost 17 years to an absolutely awesome man! We live in Sweet Home Alabama....& love it! I'm here to relax & have fun....I love meeting new folks & broadening my horizons!

My Interests

Ahhhhh...I love music...almost all genres. Dean Koontz novels are a fave.....Movies (CLERKS is the best!)......fiddling around with creating webpages.....& chatting, of course!

I'd like to meet:

I think Kevin Smith is a GENIUS...he does lots of signings & meet-n-greets with his fans in Jersey. One day...I want to attend one just to shake his hand. Anyway, this is him explaining the origin hilarious scene from Clerks.

Music:

The first time I heard this band...I was at a Poison/David Lee Roth concert & they were playing it over the loudspeaker before the concert started. I've been in love with'em ever since. Its a classic...& I will always listen to it.

I ADORE this man....& his music! You can tell that he truly loved entertaining & that always came thru in his songs.

Linkin Park was introduced to me by a friend in California, long before they were ever commercially successful I heard IN THE END & absolutely loved it. Their music always gets me goin' & energizes me.

They are EVEN BETTER live!

I LOVE his music. I know he's controversial...& a bit tactless. But ya can't deny he has talent.

Third Day is a contempory Christian band. We've seen them in concert & their music is incredible.

Chris Daughtry *sigh*...he should've won! Even tho Taylor was great, & is from my hometown....I really prefer Daughtry's style of music.

Ohhh Poison, my bedroom walls were plastered with Poison posters when I was a teen. C.C. Deville is THE man!

Def Leppard, another band that will stand the test of time. Their music always makes me feel good & I have such fond memories attached to their songs.

Casting Crowns is another contemporary Christian band. We saw them in concert, as well. Those guys are sooo good. Music with a message...gotta love that!

These guys from Jersey will never go away! I used to play their "cassettes" so much when I was a teenager that my mom even knew all the words! LOL..I have such a great memory of my mother coming down the hall singing Bad Medicine to the top of her lungs ;)

Bo..he is from my hometown, too...another Idol finalist. I loved his style of music. His CD is actually pretty good. Could have been made better tho...the quality isn't that great, but hopefully his next one will be.

Rodney Carrington is one of our favorite comedians. We've seen him at comedy clubs about 4 times now. He'll make ya laugh till you cry!

Brian Regan is the absolute best "clean" comic out there. His facial expressions alone will crack you up.

And what can you say about Dane Cook that hasn't already been said by millions of his other fans? Someone shit on the coats?????

Movies:

Anyone who has taken the time to get to know me...knows what a huge Kevin Smith fan I am. I've seen Clerks & Clerks 2 too many times to count. Heck, I almost have them memorized! If you've ever worked in retail...these two movies are a "must-see". The best line in a movie...ever?
"In a row?????" This is another work-related movie, but not by Kevin Smith, like all of the movies above. I can still relate...& this movie always makes me laugh. Sin City & 300 are both Frank Miller films. I love the look of both of them...its just as fascinating as the story lines. Sin City is just plain cool. 300 is INCREDIBLE. An absolute work of art. The Princess Bride was a movie that a guy took me to see when I was just a teen-ager. He was such a romantic & even though the guy turned out to be a wee-bit too pompous for me...I still had a very nice memories of that evening & this movie. This was my first ever "movie" date! I loved it then & love it even more now. I think its timeless & that kids today could still probably relate to it. My favorite "chick-flick". I could watch it again & again. Plus, I ADORE John Cusack...that helps! ;) I love, Love, LOVE this movie! I still get a surge of pride during the president's speech. Will Smith is just so loveable in this. This was the first movie I ever saw in surround sound. I remember my body shaking from the vibrations of the t-rex stomps. I had read this book long before the movie came out...& was just sooo excited anticipating its release. Its one of the few movies that actually lived up to the book, in my opinion.

Books:

Intensity by Dean Koontz was an amazing story. Also...Watchers, Mr.Murder, Seize the Night & Fear Nothing. Anything by Debbie Macomber is enjoyable, as well. And of course....the ULTIMATE read...the Bible!

Heroes:

My dad....& Jesus Christ
