Producer/Engineer looking to make a statement!!!

About Me

Edward Towner (a.k.a. EddieBower) has longed to be successful in the music industry. Born in Compton, CA and raised in Mobile, AL; he's blended southern style drum tracks & bass lines with funky, but melodic instrumentation. Trying to find his niche, he comes back to L.A. with EVERY intention on becoming a star."When Walter Young (then A&R of Magic Johnson Music) called back in 2002 & said he wanted some tracks, I was excited," Ed says. "Although nothing transpired from that and I wasn't signed, I still had optimism." Developing his skills at WABB-FM in Mobile, E.B. went for & got the spot he was looking for; opening for Ludacris in Oct. for Bayfest 2003{www.bayfest.com}. Using that as momentum and talking to people like G-One (multi-platinum producer of R. Kelly, Tony, Toni, Tone, Snoop Dogg), actor Greg Cipes (voice of Teen Titans Beast Boy, HBO series Deadwood, MTV's series TWENTYFOURSEVEN), Philip Gordy (nephew of Barry), and the like; hes very serious about his career. Now he brings his Artist Entertainment production company to a place known for weeding out the fakers. "I want precision in my music and theres no better place to put your music to the test than out here in Cali." With 2008 looming, comes the opportunity to solidify Comptons status even further. Dre & D.J. Quik has long been the premiere as far as producers here. "Im hoping to write for platinum artists now," says Ed. "I had to learn the hard way that it's about who you know rather than what you know." "Of course, I'm not able to command 6 figures like Dr. Dre, Kayne West, Lil Jon and such; but I'm willing to give that extra effort as if you were with one of the best."Graduating from Musicians Institute in Hollywood has produce wonderful results; landing an engineering gig with G-One. "Now I've just landed another job at MI as a Session Supervisor." "And thanks to G-One & 916 Music, I got my first engineering credit on the theme song to the HBO documentary, 'Bastards Of The Party." As of this late 07, Ed is currently engineering Glasses Malone's upcoming album. "Thank God for theses blessings & the people whose been there since day one. This is a rough business not for the faint of heart," Ed says. "These professionals have worked tremendously to perfect their craft; there's no reason I shouldn't do the same!!" Pushing the envelope to the next level, Eddie is making sure he places his foot down on his home turf. And with labels searching for the next West thing, is only a matter of time before they see his footprints.Edward Towner a.k.a.
