About Me

Layout by CoolChaser .. ..Hello. Mein name ist Carlos. I like German (and I'm trying, little by little, to learn it). I Like Languages. I like Biology. I currently study (or will be studying) at Puerto Rico's most important University: the University of Puerto Rico (at Rio Piedras's campus). I will be majoring in General Sciences or Biology, and then I'll -hopefully- get to pursue a career in Medicine. Enough about that. I enjoy reading, as you may have noticed. I also like writing, and, though I think I haven't yet written something... important, worthy, good? I think that I may very well do it someday. I'm also very interested in certain philosophies, especially existentialism. Living hurts, man. Haha. Friedrich Nietzsche is the wisest man who ever lived (and that is a totally objective statement). Sarcasm's great. I don't like dancing, though watching certain kinds of dances can be interesting, I must admit. I love astronomy; the Universe is a beautiful thing. Aesthetics are great. My favourite part of the human body? Eyes. I love humans and everything they're capable of. They're just... perfect. I am an atheist, and have no problem with other people's beliefs... except when they start patronising me or telling me that my way of thinking is wrong. Truth is, there is no whole truth (except that we live, and we die... but now's definitely not the time to get philosophical). Mirrors, knives (including swords, et al), eyes, noses, hair, Europe, Japan, music, films, forests, clocks, thoughts, and memories are some of my interests. I'm quite the funny-man (in a totally you're-not-really-funny-at-all kind of way =] ). Did I mention I love literature? I know I did, but I really really love it. Some of life's most profound sensations can be found in books (and in life, if you know how to live it. I used to love video gaming more than my own life, but I'm slowly shying away from it. It's just not the same as before. I adore my childhood. I didn't do much, but it was oh-so-fun. It really was. It's the best chapter of my life so far. That and my High School years. I already miss it. Fun-ny. My favourite colour is black. And I prefer British English to American English. I'm kind of a European wannabe, you could say. I'm apolitical. I detest fanaticism of any and every kind. I love quotes. I guess I'm not as proud as I should (I believe 'could' would be the better word) be of my country. I'm recently starting to really like shoes, and I'm in desperate need of a pair of Adidas sneakers. I like Dr Martens, but their shoes are so expensive =(. I have a special affinity for antiquities and old things, they somehow remind me of past generations, and I try to picture myself in their present (our past). My favourite season is Winter. The chilly air awakens a hidden feeling in every human and makes them somewhat colder, and a bit more introspective. I... don't know what else to write. I really could be all day filling this, talking nonsense and trivialities. Ah, 'trivial' that is my favourite word, after 'reverie'. It's so potent and meaningful. It even sounds better than 'cellar door'. When I said nonsense, I meant this. Never mind. Well, as they say, ta-ta for now. If you've read this whole thing... congratulations, you are my new best friend. And if you haven't added me after doing that... sheesh, your c-razy. Anyway. For a special, one-time offer, I'm presenting you with my MSN Messenger mail, so add me, or not. I don't care. Well, if you can actually entertain me, I do care. Anyhoo, here's the address (I suggest you copy-paste it, to avoid confucius, I mean, confusion [you see what you make me do?]): [email protected]. Have a good one.
