Kiryn is a completely diverse project. From the start of the band, which was originally brother-sister pair Denise and Vinh as Something Phonetic, the growth and change has been continuous. Their form as Something Phonetic was a start, a sort of look into what their talent had to offer to the industry, which brought on an exploration into the hip-hop world. The two eventually decided, however, for them to be true to their passion and ambition, that an adjustment was necessary. With the name change to Kiryn and the addition of bassist Tony and percussionist Jimmy came a new style of music and a new direction. Individually, Kiryn's members have made music their lives since long before the band was formed. This undoubtedly contributes to what they are collectively and makes their passion and talent unquestionable. Their sound is dynamic and unique, driven by the various backgrounds and influences fueling them. Denise's voice brings a fresh sound to alternative music with passion driving it and the music that supports it; and there is clear beauty that comes from the partnership that is evident in every song. Fans can expect an original approach to recording and music, along with the continuous development and growth of Kiryn.
