About Me

I'm very smart and only sleep about 4-5 hours a night. So, I have a lot of time to fill. Mainly, I read, but I've also got a ton of hobbies to keep me busy. I think being intelligent is more of a curse. I'm often disappointed by the everyday antics of the masses and often go out of my way to avoid people all together.
I want simple things, though. I like things that are straightforward and plain.
I'm also very disappointed in the collapse of things like courtesy and valor. I hold things like honor, discipline and respect in high esteem. I loathe the fact that virtue is treated like a disease and the word itself is looked at with more disdain than most obscenities.
That's just wrong.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

There's a few people I'd love to meet.I'd love to meet Nikola Tesla, Mark Cuban, Richard Branson or Robert Asprin.I like people who are gifted in their field and visionaries. I also like people who have presence, like Teddy Roosevelt, who you 'knew' entered a room before you even saw them enter a room. That type of person amazes me.

On the Road : Santa Fe

A stay at the Crowne Plaza

This is a great hotel for short people.  Not being a small person (I'm 6'4"), I kept scraping my knuckles on the ceiling in my room, I banged my head on the shower curtain rod, and the shower hea...

Earn a Million in Less Than A Year.

The nice thing about vacation rentals is you can charge 4X more per month.  But you have to also consider how long the rental season is for.  My theory is that to break even, you need to m...

Real Estate and Investing

I've been looking at getting into rentals for about 3 years now.  The problem I saw was that the price of real estate was skyrocketing and the price of rent was stable.  To me, this obvio...
