About Me

Selections from the most recent broadcast:
Dave "The Madman" Pirtle launched The Insanitarium on 90.5 KSJS (San Jose, California) back in the summer of 1999, which now puts it into it's unmpteenth year. The focal point of the show is "NORCAL UNLEASHED," a one hour showcase of NorCal metal bands which has featured numerous bands from the scene. This eventually led to a position at Zero Magazine writing a monthly column about the local scene. The show currently airs on Thursday 10PM- 2AM, with NORCAL UNLEASHED at 11PM. Everything is fair game, nothing is taboo, and whatcha gonna do when THE MADMAN runs wild on YOU?!?!
Feel free to email us with comments, questions, CD submissions, concert notifications, noise complaints. [email protected] or through here of course.
****Any local band wishing to submit a CD should inquire with us.
