About Me

Welcome to my site. My name is Bridget. I'm now 21 years old. YAY! I have a dog named Skipper. She has a litter mate named Barbie. Since everyone always asks me why I named these two 80lb dogs Barbie and Skipper, I'll tell you. I didn't name them. They came named that way from the Helen Woodward Animal Center. I'm really horrible at naming animals so I decided to keep their names. Lol. I'm in my 4th year of college to obtain a degree in Biology. It definitely isn't a 4 year plan... more like a 5 or 6 year plan. I will be transfering to UCSD in the Fall of 2008. I still haven't decided what I want to do with my degree but I do have an idea. I will either commission as an officer in the Navy to fly F18s or I will apply to veterinary school (I hope UCSD gets one soon) or maybe I'll take a year off to work as a veterinary technician (I love my job!) before I decide what I want to do. Those first two things are what I want to do the most. I currently work as a veterinary technician at an animal emergency hospital. I've been there for a year. Prior to that I worked in a day practice for 3 years. The two jobs are very VERY different from one another. I really like the emergency practice. I've learned so much already. Sometimes I miss the day practice and all the client education/contact. I have a cool brother (name is Greg) who's in his 2nd year of college. He's going to do good things some day. My dad is the best in the whole world! I love my mom. I have a wonderful boyfriend Avery who's in the Navy. We've been together for a while now... time definitely flies by. I'll admit.. I love him ;). I have 4 best friends (Becky, Jinah, Sam, and Kali) who I know I can count on for anything. Sam and I became friends through an old mutual friend and it has stuck ever since. :) Becky, Jinah, and I have been friends for over 15 years. That's a heck of a long time. Shit. Whoever said friendships don't last after high school was wrong. :) Kali is my only close Navy friend and probably will be the only one unless someone else can prove they don't have any drama baggage. Once she leaves it is going to be hard to find someone who is on the same level as me. P.S. There are a few more that I haven't mentioned yet. I'm a soap opera queen! My favorite shows are Days Of Our Lives and Passions. :)

My Interests

Science, math (i know...geek. but hey, it's a hell of a lot better than english), hanging out with friends, hanging out with my boyfriend, learning new things, working with veterinarians and animals, my two dogs, reading, watching Days Of Our Lives and Passions!, learning how to perform a veterinary technician's job, learning the way of emergency medicine at my new job, etc. I love my Ford Focus and I don't give a crap what anyone thinks about my ford. : ) I get so much, "ah fords suck"... "they're pieces of shit." WHATEVER! My family has always had excellent luck with Fords and that's what I'm sticking to. If you've personally had a problem with a Ford, sorry that sucks, maybe take better care of it. For all the rest, take your opinions and shove it up your a**!

This is what I wish I could fly but F14s aren't used anymore. Too bad. : (

But I guess I could settle with this one. : )

I'd like to meet:

It doesn't matter who I meet as long as they have the qualities I expect in a person. Well maybe I have a few celebrities on that list... Heath Ledger, Channing Tatum, Keira Knightly, George Clooney, Jake Gyllenhall... and I could go on forever.

Music:

the killers, linkin park, bad religion, the bravery, cky, system of a down, nine inch nails, godsmack, killswitch engage, the donnas, brand new, atreyu, breaking benjamin, strung out, boxcar racer, simple plan, disturbed, papa roach, aerosmith, ac/dc, crossfade, coldplay, underoath, nirvana, offspring, ok go, panic at the disco, fall out boy, drew sidora, all american rejects, etc. I love the music I used to play when I was in band in high school.

Movies:

10 Things I Hate About You (Duh... everyone who knows me, knows this is my favorite), Legally Blonde, Step Up, The Covenant, Top Gun (Hell yea.. my dad was in a part of that movie), Napoleon Dynamite, RV, The Shaggy Dog, Pride and Prejudice (my favorite romantic movie!), Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty In Pink, Saint Elmos Fire, all the Disney movies, I'll admit that I like to watch the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movies, Fast and the Furious (all of them), Jim Carey movies, Robin Williams movies, etc. NO SCARY MOVIES! I tried them and did not like them.

Television:

bewitched, i dream of jeane, viva la bam, gilmore girls, smallville, degrassi, instant star, i love lucy, pimp my ride, fresh prince, real world, real world/road rules challenge, law and order, er, charmed, buffy the vampire slayer (the ones when angel was still in it), third watch, family channel, mtv, mtv2, HBO, the cw, cbs, nbc, days of our lives, passions, some disney channel, animal cops... etc.

Books:

Pride and Prejudice, Confessions of A Shopaholic series, A Day In Infamy, Wicked, Son of A Witch, James Herriot books, military books, fiction books... let me just say... I LOVE BOOKS.

Heroes:

All the men and women in the military, the Police Department and their K9 Unit, my Dad and Avery.
