We are Warriors, Warriors of Light!

About Me

I now have a job, well i start at the begining of november, its seems a pretty sweet deal, its going to give me the opportunity to take my mind of this endless nothing i seem to do :) which will be a good thing.
Im a complete computer geek, I play an online game called world of warcraft and to say it comsumes your life would be an understatement, it pretty much IS your life. I should quit as it gives me reasons not to go out. but meh it also stops me from mugging old ladies :D
If you wanna know about me, im the type of person who believes they can do anything they set their mind too, im not special or gifted but i have a certain self confidence which can be descired as cocky, arrogant or damn right rude, this is however not how i am, if you have met me you would realise this, im a pretty decent chap :) find someone who disagress with this and ill give u a cookie!
Ive met a few people from this site and made good friends with one for sure im sure ill meet more people and recently i have been to gigs and bumped into people i know.. all has been good and fun and im sure ill end up hanging out with them some more. If your are reading this and are one of those people feel free to invite me out :D anything to get me off that stupid computer game :P
Im still suffering from insomnia, but due to regular excercise this problem seems to be subsiding, i started to swim every other day and apart from making me sleep better im also becoming fitter and leaner! i may get a good body one day! br
I hate this site but it has its use's, myspace is bollocks but its a great way to keep in touch with good people, however its full of lots of wankers that i wouldnt piss on to put out, some people might thnk im one of those wankers, id probs chuckle if they thought i was :Danyways enough of this crap im leaving this waffle here.be good dont do drugs and always have safe sex :)Matt

My Interests

Gigs!
i try to go to as many shows as possible. Mainly Emo, Screamo, Punk Gigs

Upcoming events are...

no gigs planned for the moment!

Sports!
if its on TV and its England playing chances are im watching it :D ok so thats sad to some people but hey nothing wrong with being patriotic is there?

Geetars!
I have two Guitars an Epiphone Zak Wylde Edition Les Paul as seen below

and a Tanglewood Acoustic, which i have no pic of.. Sowwi. I've Played for about 5/6 years but im still not very good.

Manga,Anime, Drawing!
I'm an average at best when it comes to drawing, i try my best and put my hand to anything, im creative when i try but this is'nt as often as id like. Here is a small creation i once made.

I drew this using Microsoft Paint YES the cheap crap one which comes with your PC. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Snowboarding!
Sadly i dont own my own Snowboard /cry but i try to go as often as i can, i have been to Canada 3 times and i fucking love teh snow!

Travelling!
I Love to Travel! and i have been to Canada 3 times and New York once, im currently im currently arranging a trip to South Africa to see my best mate Craig aka Greg. I could be jetting off as early as the first week of April for a week or two.

I'd like to meet:

Im not sure, apart from new friends maybe Tyler Durden would be pretty cool. heh. Shame he doesnt exist! :P

Music:

So im more into the screamo/hardcore/punk sort of thing but it seems who isnt now adays. I'm not saying i was there first, but i listened to the music before it mattered how you looked, It was about going to gigs and having fun not seeing who has the best hair cut back in my day (im older then i look). Anyways the bands i like are and not limited to the following

A Change of Pace
Alkaline Trio
Aiden
Alexisonfire
Anberlin
Ataris
Atreyu
Avenged Sevenfold
Bayside
Billy Talent
The Bled
Bleed the Dream
Bleeding Through

The above list is not all i listen too, to name every band in my CD rack would take too long and to name everyband on my ITUNES would take even longer. Music used to be my life, Its somewhat taken a side step too as ive grown older but i still have a huge interest in it

Movies:

My taste in movies differs depending on the mood im in.... There is not a genre i wont sit and watch, whether it be
Westerns
Musicals
Chick flicks
Horror
Romance
Anime
Action
Thrillers
War
Documentary
Sci-Fi
Cartoons

Chances are ill watch anything but my Fav movies seem to stem from tapping into my mind. If you can make me think you will have me hooked.
Here are a few of my Favourite Films
My Fav Actor is: Brad Pitt One of the most versatile Actors of todays generation, sure he has had a few dodgy Films Troy being one of them but over all he knows his shit. Honourable mentions also include
Ben Stiller
Samuel L Jackson
Russel Crowe
Jake Gyllenhaal

My Fav Actress is:
Angelina Jolie
Ok so she is hot :D tbh at the moment to think of my Fav Actress would be kinda difficult, its such a male dominated industry even now nothing springs to mind.
Fav Directors are:
Quinten Tarrantino
Guy Ritchie
Ridley Scott
and there is a director who i believe is japanese? called
Miike Takashi
he makes pretty screwed up movies, a little extreme for some peoples taste, but if you get a chance to check out something by him, feel free to do so.
Any thing else i can add ill do so in the future./FONT

Television:

I'm a typical guy, i like to watch sport, Im truely proud to be English, its where i was born and bred, i wear my Cross on my sleeve and disrespecting a mans Country is the same as disrespecting his household. Do so and expect to get a bitch slap for your troubles
Ok so i watch sports, if england were playing tiddlywinks id be watching cheering on. I love sports and would watch it 24/7 if i could.
I like comedies.
The office
Faulty Towers
Only Fools and Horses
The IT crowd

I dont only watch brittish comedies, Americans ones tickle my ribs also
Friends
Fraser
Everybody Loves Raymond
Sienfeld

However I do have a few fav shows which i watch religously now it seems and they are!
The O.C
I found this show a little later then most of the world, it was a pop into the DVD store what should i buy "oh this looks good" sort of moment im glad i bought the first series as i managed to watch that and the second series in approx 6 weeks . kinda Sad eh? lol Series 3 is not bad so far of what i have seen. Slow at First but it has picked up a little now. Every girl wishes they knew a real life Seth Cohen. hehe
LOST
Once again due to not watching much TV i this caught my attention once everyone was raving on about it. However i did manage to watch the first series once i bought it on DVD in i think less then a week, i was hooked from the start. I hope series 2 lives up to the hype but from a few friends i've heard it is not as good.
Desperate Housewives
I blame my sister for this, she started to tell me about a few episodes and i fobbed it off as another girly show which i would not watch. She made me Download the first episode and after watching this i rushed out to the DVD shop to buy the box set. Who would of thought Mysteria Lane would be so Mysterious :D hehe nice pun Matt!
Nip/tuck
Ahhh where to start this show is Amazing! every episode is like a movie, good looking stars, amazing sets, story lines you only dream of. Every character you love and then generably end up loving to hate, ill admit, i cried at one episode :( poor christian he had to leave wilbur :'( but a show which can make you laugh cringe smile cry and think is always good for me. If you are a fan you will know what i mean. If you are a fan you have to send me a message! please!!! please note if your from america im only about half way through series 3 so dont spoil anything please!
Prison Break
I can not recommend this show enough, if you are from England and curently missing them on channel 5 DOWNLOAD them now!!!! ill set the scene roughly, a man is wrongfully jailed and is on death row. he has approx. 3 weeks left to live. his younger brother who is a genious gets himself sent to jail and has an elaborate plan to escape, this involves many inmates and alot of greed, corruption, suicide and murder. To cap it all off he has hidden within his Tattoo's on his chest and arms the blueprints to the prison in one of the best looking tattoo's you will ever set your eyes on. Do not miss this show for the world.

Books:

I used to be a book worm in my youth.. Well once i left school at 16, i had money and i got into reading. It was mainly War books
Brave Two Zero
Torando Down
The one that got Away
ect ect
I then moved onto fiction and below are a few of my fav books:
Alex Garland he wrote a book called The Beach you know the one they made into a film, if you liked the film read the book its alot more entertaining and more fun. He also has a book called The Tesseract, its 3 small stories which are inter twined and roll into one longer story, its soo clever and often reminds me of Pulp Fiction. If you catch my drift. This guy is a brilliant author and has also helped in screen writing a few films 28 days later was one of them i believe.
Chuck Palahniuk So hey you know that awesome film called Fight Club it was a book before a film!!!! not many people know this, you have to read the book, you will understand the film soooo much more.
Chuck is a truely AMAZING author, he doesnt do normal reading, its very abstract and the stories are like wow! this guy is twisted as an example he has a book called Choke which is about a sex addict who has a terminally ill mum, it tells the tale of his life and friends, his mums secret diary and wow the ending, is just wow! didnt see that one coming! GO BUY IT NOW!.
Ive also started to read some Dan Brown Books, i seem to buy them and i need to take them out my mothers grasp as she loves them! I dont read as much as id like too so im only half way through the Da vinci Code. What i read was amazing, i only have 100 pages to finish but the book has been in that state for well about 5 months now :/ opps! Ill pick it up one day and finish it in a sitting. Possibly the next time my internet goes down. hehe.
So yeah books are good, infact books are better then films, but dont let me tell you this, go out and grab some and find out for yourself. however for the younger generation, finding time to read a book is often hard.

Heroes:

Kris Roe couldnt of said it better and i quote:

"The hardest part isnt finding what we need to be, its being content with who we are".

Everyone of us is a hero in our own way, chances are each person who reads this has struggled in life getting through things which felt impossible at the time but arrising on the other side victorious. These things are which make others admire us and look upon us and think wow that guy or girl is special, dont change for anyone as what you are is whats makes you you!. Dont strive to do anything which is impossible just do it. We can all be hero's more then once in our life.
