My all time favorite is A Christmas Story..........I like indie films, not many people watch those but some of them are really good. I never really go to the movies unless it is something really good. I am shallow w/ a lot of movies, I don't watch westerns, or "guy" movies. I gave up on slasher movies, I mean I do watch them, but some of them re so bad, and you just know it is so bad. I do watch them if somebody elose is or something that is brought to my attention otherwise. I do like classic ghost stories, and of course I have seen Final Destination and the other popular ones, but I cannot tolerate some of the grapohic stuff, I really do shut my eyes and ask when it is over. I do not go out of my way to watch horror flicks though.I like wtching them during the day, some of them scare me so bad, even worse then some of the books I read. All the murder shows too, there are so many, but when Court TV really staarted to take oof the forensic shows, I really believe that people are desensitize by all of it now, but I appreciate the special effects now, but it is astounding tht you can watch crime non-stop, and I do! I watched them and one time I could not sleep until the sun came up cuz I was so scared. Of course I like chick flicks, dramas, comedies. I will just tine out if I am w/ someone wtching westerns (except Tombstone, of course) and stUff I consider "bad". I am not much of a Science fiction person either. I also like documentaries.........and Please, NEVER SPEND A DIME ON TIFFANY BURN'S DOCUMENTARY "MR. BIG" IT IS A LIE.
Crime, what else? ER, I like E and Vh1 commentary shows, the countdowns. I watch ID, A&E, TNT, USA, I have Dish netwrk, so my recordings aare full. I like Discovery, all that stuff. I rarely watch the reality shows like Survivor,Flavor of Love, those kinda of shows that humiliate the people on them. I know they asked for it, but some of them go way too far. I must admit I did watch Rock of Love 2, nothing else was on when the 1st episode was on, and I was sold. I like Ambre from the start, and for some reason I figured who he would choose, but at the end I saw her for who she really was. I did not like her fake ass anymore. I pretty much will watch anything, but as for a favorite, I try not to miss ER, CSI, (NOT MIAMI OR NEW YORK, THO. I CANNOT BELIEVE PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE HORATIO! HE MAKES ME SICK, HE JUST IS NOT COOL!)
I love to read. I read every chance I get. I am reading " Ghost Girl" now. My favorite book hands down is Judas Child, by Carol O'Connell. After that I tried to read some of her other books, but I put 2 of them down cuz I did like her style, it was nothing like the other one. I hardly ever put down a book, I start it, I must finish, but these 2 I could not. It was a supercop theme, ypu know what J.D Robbs futristic novels about one cop.I remember the titles, Crime School and Mallory's Oracle. There is a few of the books about a female cop named Mallory. I just could not believe the same woman could write so differantly. I will try to red them again, this time objectivly, not with aaany expectations. Judas Child was by far my favaorite, but I have a bunch of books I would read again and I have a lot of favotrites. Horror, Mystery, True Crime, trashy Jackie Collins novels, Harry Potter...........I read everything exept those fabio covered novels...
