When my energy level is high... I love to go out and dance and have a good time, but in my free time when I'm trying to relax I work on my aquarium. EVERYTHING!!
There is no music genre that I can't appreciate. I regularly enjoy artists with soul like India Arie, Erykah Badu, Common, Leela James or Jill Scott. I appreciate artists that have original sounds that follow through as incredible lyricists like hieroglyphics and Rakim - basically anything that has a positive vibe when you hear it. I love listening to reggae and have a strong devotion to blues, jazz and oldies when the mood is right.
Movies:
Anything COMEDY!!!!
I thrive off of comedy movies...you can never go wrong with laughter!
Stand-up is an absolute must have! Eddie Murphy - Delirious & Raw, Dave Chappelle, Robin Williams - Live on Broadway, DANE COOK (who couldn't love Dane Cook?) Chris Rock - Bigger and Blacker & Never Scared, Anything from Ricard Pryor, All the Kings & Queens of Comedy, etc... so many inside jokes that fill my day with smiles come from stand-up. Then there is Saturday Night Live and all the classic faces that have taken off from it, Harold and Kumar go to White Castle; All the National Lampoon movies; I could go on all day listing the comedy movies that inspire me.
There is only one "chick-flick" even worth mentioning in this list and it is one movie every girl should own and that is The Notebook... enough said...
Heroes:
My biggest hero in life is my dad... I know its a common statement and lots of people use it, but he really is the person I look up to the most in life!!
