I am here for Dating and Friends

About Me

I'm a student at the UO and I enjoy good music, food, the company of women, etc. I have the same birthday as Jeff Ament, Chuck Norris, Sharon Stone and Osama bin Laden, if that tells you anything. I check this thing on occasion. But I'm on AIM all the time: Manadajigity. Also, check out waynediego.blogspot.com.

My Interests

I like music and journalism. I play bass. I also really enjoy food and cooking.

I'd like to meet:

WARNING: If you are reading this then this warning is for you. Every word you read of this is useless fine print is another second off your life. Don't you have other things to do? Is your life so empty that you honestly can't think of a better way to spend these moments? Or are you so impressed with authority that you give respect and credence to all who claim it? Do you read everything you're supposed to read? Do you think everything you're supposed to think? Buy what you're told you should want? Get out of your apartment. Meet a member of the opposite sex. Stop the excessive shopping and masturbation. Quit your job. Start a fight. Prove you're alive. If you don't claim your humanity you will become a statistic. You have been warned.

Music:

I like to listen to a lot of music. Here's a preview of some bands I like to listen to, right off the top of my head:Nine Inch Nails*, Marilyn Manson, Red Hot Chili Peppers*, White Zombie, Primus*, A Perfect Circle*, Incubus*, The Presidents of the United States of America*, Foo Fighters*, Interpol*, Tool, The Dandy Warhols*, Filter, AC/DC, The Mars Volta*, Rancid, Beck, Rage Against the Machine*, The Killers*, Soundgarden, System of a Down, At the Drive-In, Pearl Jam*, Modest Mouse*, Nirvana, Rob Zombie, Audioslave*, Rolling Stones, The Church, Joy Division, NOFX, The Offspring, Queens of the Stone Age*, Godsmack (first album), Radiohead*, The Crystal Method*, Led Zeppelin (Though it pisses me off that they're being used in fucking commercials), Franz Ferdinand, Skindred (Ok, I know what you're thinking, but this is for pure goof value),There are more, but those are what I can think of now. An * means I've seen that band live in concert.

Movies:

So many movies. Again, off the top of my head: Fight Club, Roger and Me, Dr. Strangelove, Lady Terminator, Bowling for Columbine, Anchorman, Closure, And All That Could Have Been, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Repoman, Jurassic Park, Alien, The Castle, Snatch, Raising Arizona, The Godfather parts I and II, Office Space, Lawrence of Arabia, South Park: Bigger Longer and Uncut, Old School, and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of now cuz my brain is frozen.

Television:

Television rots the brain and kills the soul. That said: South Park, The Daily Show, The Simpsons, Adult Swim, Newshour with Jim Lehrer, Upright Citizens Brigade, Chappelle Show, etc.

Books:

Right off the top of my head, here are some things on my bookshelf."America (the book)"-Jon Stewart and the Daily Show crew, "Dude, Where's My Country?"-Micheal Moore, "1984"- The late the great George Orwell, "The Long Hard Road Out of Hell"- Marilyn Manson, "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" and "The Great Shark Hunt"- the late, the great, Hunter S. Thompson, "Slaughterhouse-Five"- Kurt Vonnegut, "Rush Limbaugh is a big, fat idiot"- Al Franken, "Of Civil Goverment"- John Locke (a book EVERYONE should have), "The Elements of Style"- Strunk and White, "The Associated Press Stylebook," "Choke", "Invisible Monsters", "Lulluby", and "Fight Club"- Chuck Palahniuk, and a whole assload of Stephen King (Including: Pet Semetary, IT, The Dead Zone, Carrie, Christine, The Stand, Insomnia).

Heroes:

Anyone who tries to change the world for the better and fight a system built on oppression. That is, if they don't wear clown make-up when they're doing it. I mean JESUS CHRIST. Oh yeah, I guess that he qualifies in this catagory. Oh, and Larry Graham (if you need to ask, you'll never know).

My Blog

If this doesnt creep you the fuck out, I dont know what will...

Seriously, this is creepy. But also kind of funny. Is there a moral to this little narrative? Yes. It's "don't give your kids LSD when they're supposed to be studying." Or maybe it's that you should gi...

Being in Salem and random sports crap

So it seems that I'm in Salem for a while as my apartment in Eugene isn't available until Sept. 11th. I'm not particularly happy about this (mostly because I'll have to move all of my crap BACK to Eug...

There are some things I just think are terrible

I seem to be the minority in this thought because I keep hearing this song and people saying it's sooo good. The song is "Hey There Delila" by The Plain White T's.I don't mean to say what people shoul...

I wish I would have met you, but now it's a little late...

Today was an odd day.   It was an emotional rollercoaster of sorts, but not for the reasons that one might usually expect. The day has been filled with fun and laughs with friends, but also ove...

I said shit - goddamn! I'm a man, I'm a man!

Today is one of those days that seldom comes my way. Today was a day that I got sick and actually went to see a medical professional about it. This is to say that I felt like total shit for most of th...

I am the key to the lock in your house that keeps your toys in the basement

Today has been a fun day. I realize that sarcasm doesn't get through very well on blogs, so I shouldn't do it. Today has been a pretty shitty day, and I'm glad that it's mostly over and I can go and s...

The man's too big, the man's to strong...

Isn't is funny how time travel works in movies? Think about this for a minute - in "The Terminator" series, we find out that John Connor would have lost hsi virginity before his own father did. That's...
