About Me

I'm cute, I'm sassy, and I know way, way more about books than you ever will.
This section requires an update. I have managed to break free of the customer service juggernaught trying to steal my soul. I now work in a nice, quiet office. And I'm going to grad school. Innit cool?
My life has changed drastically over the last few years. Wanna know? Just ask. Although it may take a while to get an answer...I'm notoriously bad at answering emails in a timely fashion.

My Interests

Reading, family, libraries, dancing, good food, freedom of information, sewing, downtown Ann Arbor and its myriad delights, Italian heritage, LGBT activism, reproductive rights

I'd like to meet:

Um...people with excellent taste in all cultural mediums? And by excellent, I mean like mine.

Music:

Jackson Browne, Northern State, Depeche Mode, Nellie McKay, Broadway musicals, The Killers, Ani DiFranco, Harry Connick Jr., Beastie Boys, Great Big Sea, Massive Attack, Ella Fitzgerald, Scissor Sisters, Warren Zevon, REM, Frank Sinatra, Tori Amos

Movies:

Moonstruck, Harold and Maude, Strictly Ballroom, The Philadelphia Story, Empire Records, An American in Paris, Young Frankenstein, Spirited Away, The Quiet Man, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Saved!

Television:

Futurama. The Daily Show. Stargate SG-1. The Muppet Show. Star Trek: TNG. Firefly. Law and Order (especially if Jerry Orbach is present). XPlay (but only because of Morgan Webb).

Books:

Transmetropolitan (Warren Ellis and Darick Robertson), The Giver (Lois Lowry), Illusions (Richard Bach), The Red Tent (Anita Diamant), Stargirl (Jerry Spinelli), The Talisman (Stephen King and Peter Straub), The House of Spirits (Isabel Allende), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera), Abarat (Clive Barker), Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte), The Invention of Hugo Cabret (Brian Selznick), Shakespeare (iambic pentameter...ooh)

My Blog

This is why we can’t have nice things!

So, superfun times last night. Having dinner at the bar last night, there's a TV directly above Sara's head.  They're showing CSI or something.  Really gruesome scene.  Right in my line...

I = awesome

As some of you may know, I am no longer working for the retail establishment. For the past week, I've been doing temp work in an urban planning office in Ann Arbor. They've now hired me permanently.&n...

All hail the Orange Line!

Well, we're back from the land of the pretty and vacant. I'd type more but I still have my Bridezilla nails on and it makes things difficult. How DO those receptionists do it? More photos and stories ...

Oh my god.  It's 3am. It's over and done. Rowling may be nothing but a bitch-ass hack, but I think it ended well, at least. I like closure.

I tried to post a picture comment on a friend's page today, and realized I couldn't because she has un-friended me.  This makes me sad. I know I'm not very good at correspondence.  I ra...
