The Morning After is a rock band hailing from right here in Cleveland, Ohio. To call them simply a "rock band", however, doesn't fully tell the story. An inventive and refreshing blend of straight forward rock and blues, punk and power pop, folk and sing-along acoustic, The Morning After truly has a little of something for everyone. There are 5 distinct musicians who make up The Morning After's signature sound; a vocalist whose unique voice and soulful delivery are the trademarks of The Morning After's catalogue - lead guitarist Justin Smith whose electrifying lead performances give The Morning After's songs has an element seldom heard in today's indie scene - and the powerhouse rhythm section of drummer Scott Smith, bassist Tom Christian and indie film star, Jake Cook on guitar.
The Morning After have been awarded the 2006 Best New Band award by Cleveland magazine, won the best band slot at the University of Dayton's 2006 VH1 Save The Music festival and will have music featured in internet promotional pieces and commercials across the internet over the next few months.
