Some say we're groove pounding Thrashers, some say we're Old-School, and people started calling us Post-Thrash (huh?!)...

"Her Dead Eyes" LIVE at the Yellow Submarine, 27.7.2007:
What ever we are, this is how we started:
Year 2003, two youngsters, thrash-metalheads at heart, sit together and make up a bunch of riffs and sketches of lyrics for their new born thrash project, unnamed at the time.
One a heavy growling vocalist, devoted to his favorite Florida-based bands yet always open for anything crunchy and kicking, and one a speed-riff enthusiastic guitar player, more of the melodic type yet a sucker for anything groovy and upbeat, Amit Eshbal and Raz Ben Ari started making connections with few local musicians for what seemed to be a promising kick-start for a thrash metal project.
Enter Tomer Berkovitz, yet another type in this odd mixture, a 70's and 80's rock lover at first, this essential addition to the pack soon found himself not too unfamilliar with the project's musical direction and stepped right in to the role.
A name was chosen then; ELIMINATION was decidedly the title for this fresh-yet-oldschool thrash metal band.
2004. At this point the band had already a few demos up their sleeve and had began collaborating with a few bass players and drummers, though none of them ever completely fit in with the rest of the bunch. The band was shelved for inactivity, mostly due to all three permenant members being drafted to the Israeli Defense Force.
Two years go by and rebuilt connections eventually throw the band back to practice, this time with double-kick wiz Ariel Levi behind the toms and Amit's brother, Lior Eshbal, on bass.
2006 goes on with many new songs fully written, the band finally picks up and gradually expands its musical horizons with the addition of influences ranging from oldschool heavy and thrash metal to the new waves of hardcore and death metal.
ELIMINATION finally sees the lights of the stage in 2007 at the Yellow Submarine in Jerusalem, and picks up several more shows in various cities in Israel, with the last show receiving critical acclaim for songwriting and guitar performance.
First single comes out January 2008, entitled "Her Dead Eyes", and due to positive feedback, the band altogether decides to record an EP. Eventually, recordings are interrupted by the temporary departure of vocalist Amit Eshbal, who has decided to volunteer at jewish summer camps in Canada.
30.6.2008 Note: ELIMINATION would like to state that the band is now on a hiatus, and is not looking for a new vocalist - Amit is the very heart and soul of the band. He should be turning back to Israel in several months from now. However he did not leave us empty handed - we have finished recording one song off the planned EP, "Hypnotic Blindfold", which is about Evangelism. Be sure to check it out!
