Sarah McLachlan once said “I've learned to trust myself, to listen to truth, to not be afraid of it and to not try and hide it.†Truth… it’s a good thought, and I kind of enjoy a bottom line every now and then… so here it goes. I’m just a girl… I’m about to graduate, and soon I will be moving to Austin to become a mere number enrolled in the largest university in the lovely state of Texas. I’m addicted to coffee and this addiction is only bound to get worse over the next few years. I’m restless, inconsistent, and rarely satisfied. I have curly hair that I make straight, I have brown hair I make red, and I have brown eyes that I make blue. Pianos fascinate me. I hate snobs, and I hate that some people might think that I am one. I’m not. God is always good. Sometimes I feel like I was born in the wrong decade. I think I could have been pretty beneficial to the hippie movement of the ‘70’s. I love daisies and the color pink. Music makes me high, and I have a shirt to prove it. I like to paint, and I love to write. I believe in peace, and wishing on stars. I want to change my name, and then change the world. My dream job is to write for Rolling Stone. Getting mail excites me more than it should. I wonder weird things… like why we draw hearts and stars completely different from the way they actually look. I save anything with the slightest bit of sentiment attached to it. Andy Warhol was brilliant, as was John Lennon. I love Swedish Fish and red fingernail polish. I’m impulsive, impatient, and unorganized. I’m lost, I’m searching, and eventually I will have it all figured out. I cry, I smile, I laugh, and sometimes breathing is all I feel capable of. I love, I hurt, I wish, and I miss. I’m sorry, I’m grateful, and I’m learning. I live, I enjoy, and eventually, I will die. If you’re reading this, more than likely, you have affected me at some instance of life or another… and for that, I am more thankful than you know.
