About Me

I was born in 1954 in Alexandria Virginia. I have two older sisters, one younger sister, and an older brother. When I was two we moved to a very small town, Crescent,pop.75, in upstate New York, about 25 miles North of Albany. It consisted of one road, two churches and a gas station. Our house was right across the road from the Mohawk river. Living there was like something out of Tom Sawyer/Huck Finn. The river, the forests, and the fields were our playground. We roamed totally unattended far and wide. As a child I was exposed to a wide variety of music. My parents had lots of records, Big Band/Sinatra/Broadway/movie soundtracks as well as early folk/Tom Lehrer/Weavers/Seeger etc. My older sisters played all the mid/late 50's rock'n roll and r&b. We spent alot of time listening to records or the radio. When I was 9 I saw Ricky Nelson playing with his band on "The Adventures Of Ozzie And Harriet" and I told my Mom and Dad that I wanted to play the guitar. That December they gave me a little 3/4 size nylon string acoustic and I started learning chords. to be continued
