About Me

I have my normal website at www.bryantipton.com so this page keeps me tethered to the myspace world.

My Interests

Travel. Art. Painting and drawing. Writing. Playing guitar.

I'd like to meet:

Other creative or interesting folks. I probably won't add you unless I've seen you naked or perform live (if you're a band). If I've seen you perform naked you may make my top 8.

Music:

Slayer. Liz Phair. Metallica. Shawn Colvin. Many, many more.

Movies:

Tone driven movies like Leaving Las Vegas, Lost in Translation, Sideways, and Garden State. Kieslowski's Three Colors: Blue, White, and Red. Crumb. Movies directed by Fellini and Kubrick. Any movie done well. Oh... and Conan the Barbarian. And Booty Call.

Television:

Travel shows. Documentaries. South Park. Scrubs. Tony Bourdain's No Reservations. The Daily Show. Good Eats. Colbert Report. Always Sunny In Philadephia. How I Met Your Mother. The Office. Three Sheets.

Books:

The Stranger by Albert Camus is my favorite. I also like Kurt Vonnegut, Neil Gaiman, and Susan Minot, in addition to many others. Lately, I've been reading a lot of non-fiction travel books.

My Blog

Why I Need To Hire A Sniper.

I understand the romantic allure of wind chimes if you live on the prairie.  The winds come through and create random tones -- adding sounds to previous silence -- and letting you know that there...
