i am the mother of four beautiful children(koshari-12,kua-7,ela-3,and mana-newborn)very happily married.i was born and raised in south jersey and left in 1990 to go on tour with the grateful dead.i spent the next 2 years traveling aroung the us and europe,stopping to work and raise money,then hitting the road again,selling my handcrafted jewelry and clothing.i was not going to shows for the drugs,but for the intense spiritual experience i found dancing.in 1992,i made the move to hawaii with the intention of finding a way to live in balance and harmony with the earth and learn to live lightly(all i leave behind me is only what i found).i've lived on molokai and kauai,but mostly on the big island where we currently live off the grid and are in the process of building a sustainable home and organic farm.i spent many years living w/out modern conveniences such as running water,electricity, and spent 2 years mostly cooking over an open fire.with 3 children that is not realstic,and though we live in paradise,it has its down sides as well. i also have an online business www.hamakuahomegrown.com
