China Institute
The China Institute has a gallery, classes on language, cooking, and other aspects of Chinese culture, and some events coming up for the Chinese New Year. (Chinese New Year starts on Febraury 18, 2007. It is the year of the pig.)
Asia Society
In 1956, Mr. and Mrs. John D. Rockefeller 3rd founded the Asia Society to promote greater knowledge and understanding of Asia.
The headquaters and museum are located at 725 Park Avenue (at 70th Street) in New York. The Garden Court Cafe serves lunch Tuesday through Sunday, and dinner on the second and fourth Friday of the month.
