Environmental Action

About Me

We were born on the first Earth Day in 1970 - As an organization dedicated to fighting for the environment, we've made sure that President Nixon signed the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts, and more recently fought back President Bush's "Unhealthy Skies Bill" which would've severely gutted the Clean Air Act.Currently, we're working to fight global warming by making sure our cars start getting significantly better gas mileage.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Any and everyone interested in fighting for the environment.

Second Polar Bear Hearing

Thankfully, it appears the second hearing on listing the polar bear was more balanced than the first in Anchorage. Held in DC last night, Rep. Jay Inslee spoke on behalf of listing, along with environ...

Results from the First Polar Bear Hearing

As we might've expected, the results from the first public hearing on listing the polar bear don't seem particularly favorable. As I mentioned yesterday, the first one (last night) was in Anchorage. T...
