About Me

With every new season comes a world of new possibilities. I have begun just such an adventure and felt it was time to spruce up my about me section. I am first and foremost a mother. I live and breathe every moment for my beautiful children and their futures. They have taught me to love deeply, live simply and smile frequently. I owe them my whole life. I am a student of life. I am nothing without my lessons and I try to glean from every situation good or bad, the lesson the universe has put before me. I am a spiritualist. I believe in the journey of the spirit beyond the scope of this life time and I believe that true knowledge and enlightenment comes with cycles of reincarnation. I am realizing that I will always struggle with feeling insecure at times and that is all a part of my journey. I realize that I will always feel there is something out there for me and that is precisely the reason I am still here. If I had found it all I would have moved on already. I love myself deeply, which is a beautiful accomplishment and I want nothing more than to show others the importance of finding that for themselves. I have been given the gift of true love in the form of a beautiful, deep, funny, and caring woman. She is strong where I am weak and weak where I am strong. We complement each other like I never knew a relationship could. We move in orbit around each other and finally it all makes sense. My journey continues from here; where it will take me I don’t know, but I am ready for the ride...Hover Effects By myspacehelp.uni.cc
| View Show | Create Your Own"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury; and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly; to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart; to bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasion, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony."By William Henry Channing

My Interests

"The mere fact that we long for something greater is evidence that we were created for it" -C.S. Lewis"I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." Jack LondonIn giving my page a much needed face lift I have decided to shorten the list of things I have here. After all MySpace is intended to engage people and help them get to know one another; so if you have any questions you want to ask, just email me! Questions about who I am, are a welcome change from the typical “hey baby ur hot” emails I get. Most everything I love or am interested in is mentioned or photographed here somewhere so take a look around and see what you think. Other than that, I am a vegetarian, my favorite color is red, summer makes me very happy, I am addicted to mangoes, and I hate Liars. Enjoy!
You Are Dr. Bunsen Honeydew
You take the title "mad scientist" to the extreme -with very scary things coming out of your lab.
And you've invented some pretty cool things, from a banana sharpener to a robot politician.
But while you're busy turning gold into cottage cheese, you need to watch out for poor little Beaker!
"Oh, that's very naughty, Beaker! Now you eat these paper clips this minute." The Muppet Personality Test

I'd like to meet:

People seeking Truth, Strength, Wisdom and Purpose. Christopher Walken because he rocks, and the guy who changes the light bulb at the top of the Sears Tower."If most of us are ashamed of shabby clothes and shoddy furniture, let us be more ashamed of shabby ideas and shoddy philosophies.... It would be a sad situation if the wrapper were better than the meat wrapped inside it."~Albert Einstein

Music:

This is my philosophy on music. If it is about something violent or demeaning then I am not into it. Objectifying women or talking about young girls is out. Also if you are whining just for the sake of whining and lack soul I am not into it either. I feel that some country falls into this category, whining without the soul to back it up. I want to FEEL the music not just hear it. Other than that I will give anything a shot and like more artists than I could possibly begin to list. I like rock, pop, soul, jazz, hip hop, classical, opera… all sorts of music from all over the globe. I do have a sweet spot for those few artists that make me feel as if their music was written just for me and my life. That to me is the sign of an great musician.

Movies:

EVERY MOVIE THAT Christian Bale has made especially American Psycho and The Machinist. Goonies, Labyrinth, Legend, Buffalo 66, Little Miss Sunshine, Requiem for a Dream, All of the Pirate's of the Caribbean movies, Pans Labyrinth, A Beautiful Mind, Documentaries, Drop Dead Fred, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, High Fidelity, Butterfly Effect, Boondock Saints, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Meet Joe Black, Alice in Wonderland, Old School, Shakespeare in love, Anything with Steve Martin or Chevy Chase, The others, Schindler's list, 200 cigarettes, all the brat pack high school movies, Anchor Man, N.D., Ferris Beuller's Day Off, What Dreams May Come, Gangs of New York, French Kiss, What the Bleep do we Know...Oh and I loved the Penguin movie!

Television:

I don’t own a TV but when watch at other people’s houses I like “How it’s Made”, “Man vs Wild” and Court TV.

Books:

Books are my main form of entertainment. I typically stick to those things that are written about something real. Memoirs make me very happy and I tend to read a ton of them. I have found a recent pleasure in George Orwell and Kurt Vonnegut. Old favorites are Paulo Coelho, Harry Stephen Keeler, Augusten Burroughs, Rumi, the Tao Te Ching, books on spirituality, wow there are so many… Basically it goes like this; books to me, are like television to the rest of the population. I like a wide variety of printed programming and it is all based on my mood at the time. Sometimes I feel like being deeply engaged and other times I feel like a fluff piece. No matter what the flavor of the week though, I love to learn something new and know that I am growing as a person rather than being sucked into the propaganda of pop culture and the media.

Heroes:

I admire anyone who has ever come from nothing and made it big. I don't care at what just the idea of breaking the cycle of poverty is amazing to me. I also like people that come from lots of money and can't make it in the real world... But that’s more out of pure entertainment for me. haha.
