King Ramirez is a three-piece band from London, an exotic hybrid of Spanish, Irish and English. First developed as a two-piece the member's surnames made for the band name, Ramirez and King. Well, now we also have Mr. Hutton on bass, but we thought it'd be too long a name! We formed in 2002 after an alcohol baptism (rather Irish I might add) somewhere in the east part of London. Escaped chinchillas, empty whisky bottles, strange shrimp-fish flapping on the carpet and a flooded stereo were the mark of a great beginning. Since then we have established in our own indie-rock comet thrashing through every relevant and every completely unknown venue in the capital. With a wholesome drum sound, two solid guitar amps for Nigel to crush and the new expanded sound courtesy of Alex on a throbbing Fender bass, we manage to produce a unique high octane rock mixed with pop overtones that's a mirror to our lifestyle. We are proudly expanding No point talking, listen to the tunes!
We have just finished mastering our album and soon we'll be getting distribution and hopefully some sort of deal to get us on the road!! We'd like to hear your opinions, feedbacks and of course see you at the gigs!!
