a three ring circus enjoyed a modest beginning. the circus opened its big red flap in the virginal spring of 2005 (last year for those of you who are afraid of numbers) in a poetry workshop at New School university. William spritzler was greatly enamored by a poem of Ross's entitled My vagina is a holocaust, and Ross was equally engorged by a poem of Will's which had something or other to do with Ice cream, a frozen treat which Ross just loves. so with their mutual interest of ice cream and holocaust metaphors, a three ring circus planted its musical tumor in the undulating currents of the eastern seaboard, and it was nothing short of slight goodness. their musical style is hard to be pinned down, but pin we must so thus a three ring circus could be described as a wild depression-era bum canudleing with Stravinsky and Philip glass at a morose shadow puppet performace somewhere in java whilist lou reed and steven reich mutually masturbate behind the curtains. as the french say, enjoy. or don't, i'm indifferent on the matter. look forward for a debut from these fine ugly shortish men this summer ( i hear their is going to be a french horn or two and some back up gospel singers). every day is a circus day.
