About Me

Welcome to "Sam's" page...Well not exactly. You see, my real name is Eric (or Rick as my mom named me after Eric "Ricky" Nelson - Yes, that's right - I was named after a former teen idol who died in a plane crash while free-basing). Anyway, the name "Samruby" was just a passing name I needed for a domain name back in 1997. Why? I had no freakin' idea back then. I just looked over at my dogs Sam and Ruby and filled out the online form.
Originally from Edison, I now reside in Brick, near Point Pleasant. I'm a "boring" accountant who went on to become and even more "boring" CPA. I've worked mostly as a Governmental Auditor most my life, auditing municipalities, courts, police departments, libraries, and various other outside offices throughout the state of New Jersey, throughout the boroughs of New York City, and even down to the capitol itself for a brief period of time. Presently, I run my own online business and work from home.
As for that domain name, I am the webmaster and graphic artist for Spider-Man.info (mirror site samruby.com). Spider-Man.Info has grown to be one of the largest and most resourceful Spider-Man web-sites in the world. The site has been featured in various media outlets such as Entertainment Weekly, People Magazine, Yahoo Magazine, various editions of Wizard Magazine, many Video Game and Comic related magazines, and various newpapers across the country.
Many interests: Love playing basketball, baseball/ softball, biking, graphic arts, and other activities. Enjoy going to concerts, comedy clubs, sporting events, atlantic city, museums, zoos, and more. I love animals, and almost always owned a dog in my life. Also a big movie watcher, either at home renting, or going to the theatre. real editor best profile tools real editor best profile tools
