Band Members: Kinda Rhythm Track and Blanket of Glass Keys were recorded at home and I played all the instruments heard on the recordings. All others are recordings from my senior jazz recital recorded at Kathy Cashen Recital Hall.I played bass; Doc played piano; Erin Williams played drums; Kendall Lawson played trumpet; Emily Cash played saxophone
Influences: First and foremost my father Jack Hall for starting me on the Way, for showing me how to be a strong person, for showing me a sterling example of musicianship and for being one hell of a bass player. After that comes a wide assortment of bass players including Dominique DiPiazza, Paul Chambers, Oteil Burbridge, Will Lee, James Jamerson, and James Genus; horn players like Miles Davis, Paul Desmond, Bird, Diz, and Arnold Jacobs; pianists like Thelonious Monk, Herbie Hancock, Bill Evans, Mary Lou Williams, and Dave Brubeck; stylings and compositions of J.S. Bach, Phillp Glass, Arnold Shoenburg, Erik Satie, and Ludwig Van Beethoven; music of Ravi Shankar, Zakir Hussain, Ustad Allah Rakha, and west African drumming.
