About Me

For nearly thirty years, Jeff Lynch has been creating compelling motion media, whether TV commercials or corporate communications, for a myriad of clients, moving effortlessly from medical to education to high technology to political to fashion to non-profit organizations. He’s directed actors like James Earl Jones, celebrities like Martha Stewart, as well as world-renown designers, world leaders ... and simple working men and women - all with equal respect and passion.
Jeff is an experienced marketing strategist, creative director, photographer and musician. He strives to create quality work that relies on strategy, concept and craft to captivate and motivate -- and get the message across.
He was educated at Temple University in documentary filmmaking, attended the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar and was a part of David Jones’ (Robert DeNiro, Jeremy Irons, more) film director's Master Class. After managing a video facility for a national retailer, he worked for the international acclaimed Advertising and Marketing Services group at Armstrong, the interior furnishings manufacturer, based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA.
Jeff's work is distinguished by a strikingly elegant visual sense -- and a concise presentation of ideas, recognized by various international, national, regional and local awards, including the International Film + TV Festival of New York, the Telly awards and the Addys. Clients include Bristol-Myers Squibb, Sanofi-Synthelabo, Merck and Company, PinnacleHealth, Highmark, Lancaster Regional Medical Center (HMA), DuPont, Rohm and Haas, Armstrong, WoodMode, Graco, Broadband Networks, Cardinal Technologies, T. Rowe Price, Bank of Lancaster County, Elizabethtown College, Juniata College, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, the Campaign Group, the Miss America Organization, and many more.
In the music department, Jeff's band is Three Trains Comin', an act of blues and random covers. He plays bass and bass guitars. He has always been deeply into music, regardless of genre. A regular participant at the weekly jams at the dear departed Lochiel Hotel, and now the 40 and 8 hosted by the Blues Society of Central Pennsylvania, he loves stretching and drawing outside the lines which are too often expected of the blues. Influences: Jack Bruce, Miles, Beatles, Hendrix and Bach ... and Mitch Ivanoff:) He's webhost for friend and musical genius Kip Hanrahan (http://www.americanclave.com). Board of Directors of Concertante, the Harrisburg based, critically acclaimed chamber ensemble, http://www.concertante.org.
Jeff plays double bass and various electric basses including an early prototype BSX electric upright; a Warwick Thumb Fretless, a heavily modified Epiphone EB-1 fretless, a modified Dan Electro Longhorn, and a hand-made acoustic bass guitar, the scale of a cello. Genz-Benz amplification.
Jeff's photography reflects his eye for natural design, detail and whimsical moments. He manages to find the beauty in the seemingly mundane.
Working both digitally, using a Lumix or in 35mm, shooting with a collection of pristine vintage Pentax cameras and lenses, he watches the light, the patterns, the motion looking for memorable images.
Recently, his work has been featured in Photography as Fine Art, "a juried exhibition of the most accomplished photographers in the Commonweath", at the Susquehanna Art Museum. His take on lovely Harrisburg, Pennsylvania is featured regularly on Beyond Second, http://www.beyondsecond.com.
Jeff has two beautiful daughters, one of whom dances for the Kelly Kemp, as well as the Peck Peck Dance Ensemble and more in San Francisco, California usa ... His other daughter lives and works in the beautiful city of Asheville North Carolina lighting up every room she finds herself in ... so ... he's a really proud Dad.
