Unlike every other nation in history this nation was founded on the Bible. Christ was (is) God. He was (is) supreme. Yet, unlike worldly kings, rulers and presidents He was benevolent. He cared about children. He helped the sick. He opened His arms to the down and out. The example of Christ instilled into us in this country that there was more than gain & wealth to be achieved in life.
When "heroes" are discussed or if I am asked who I'd like to meet: Christ will always be my first one mentioned. I thank him every day for what He has instilled in me, in MY family, and in this nation.
If you live here in this land we call America... you/we do not live under a crazy king or dictator because of George Washington. We live in a huge, powerful, secure nation because of Abraham Lincoln. And we can jump into your car and drive from one end of Costa Mesa to the other because of Henry Ford. Hopefully you have always had your eye on more than personal gain. I know I've had to learn the loss when you don't live for others. I now care to help up the weaker, point them to the source for strength and send them on their way with a little more hope. If you’re saved and a believer you have Christ to thank for your salvation. He is SO important that if Washington, Lincoln and Ford had never shown up or had failed in their goals things would still be all right as long as we had Christ in our lives.
