About Me

Layout made by UrbanFaery at CreateBlog.com . Layout by:

I am new to Austin. Lived in Houston/Katy my whole life until New Years of 06, when I picked up and started over with a new life and new job. I am a mom of two boys. One moved with me here, one is waiting for the Navy in Houston. I had always wanted to be here (hill country) because that's where I always toted the camp gear. I love the music and eclectic culture of Austin. I am a people person, still like my alone time though. So, in the last few months I have really stepped out of the box and started living for me. Love that. I like trying new things. I am very artsy, creative and like to challenge myself. I have a strong personality but, I have a major soft spot. Looking forward to all that Austin has to offer.

My Interests

Music, outdoors, love to camp and fish, art, reading, writing, talking, laughing, spending time with family and friends, having a "date night" with my boys, learning new things

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people that know how to live. I like real people. If you are mean to the wait staff or are petty, we won't get along. I like people with varied interests who aren't afraid to try new things. If we can laugh until we cry, that is golden. Laughing through tears is one of my favorite emotions...stole that line from a movie. I like honest people who are true to their word and care about how their words affect others. As corny as it sounds, those that try to live the golden rule. I do.

Music:

Everything except most Rap and Opera. I love going to see live music. I think if you say you only like one type of music, you are really limiting yourself. I tend to stay on XM Radio Hear music and Blues lately though.

Movies:

Fried Green Tomatoes, The Big Chill, The Ref, I am sure there are more. I am not great with remembering titles unless I am totally in love with a movie.

Television:

Greys Anatomy, HGTV, Discovery, documentaries.

Books:

Wish You Well, David Baldocci Five Love Languages

Heroes:

My grand parents taught me how to love unconditionally. My Dad taught me to be strong. And my boys...You learn a whole lot about yourself from raising kids. They taught me how to use what my dad and grand parents taught me. I have never loved anyone else as much in my life. I probably never will...
