THE GOVENORS MANSION

DEVITAN (pronounced DEE-VEE-TAUN) is a MC/Producer/Entrpeneur from Hartford County Connecticut. Around the country he has gotten the moniker MR. GOVENOR from his exploits in different circuts. He is an instrumentalist that has been rapping since 1989 and playing trumpet, drums and keyboards since the early ninties. In the later half of the decade he dj'ed and promoted for DYNAMIC FORCE PRODUCTIONS around the Hartford area until he decided he did not want to play the records, HE WANTED TO BE ON THE RECORDS!He eventually went on to study Business Management at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. In R.I., he honed his rhyming and production skills putting out independent releases; "ANYTHING GOES", "BEAUTY REFLECTED IN SOUND" and "COLLECTIVE WORKS". During the same time he gained the moniker "THE KID WHO SHUT SHIT DOWN!" promoting and being the house hype man for ROYAL DYNASTY ENTERTAINMENT at PLATFORMS NIGHTCLUB, BAR ONE, CARIBE (now EL DANUBIO) and most notibly BREAKPOINT CAFE from 2000 - 2003.After earning his degree, he spent time in Albuquerque,NM. hosting McGilvrey's Nightclub, The Soul Garden and exotic shows for PMG ENTERTAINMENT and DJ K-OZ. Soon he returned for a year to work Production and Artist Development with CAVEWORLD ENTERTAINMENT; (MYSPACE.COM/CAVEWORLD).Now in ORLANDO,FL., DEVITAN is devoting 100% of His time to getting an artist/production deal, collaborating with BDO RECORDS, networking and building a team of lawyers,management, and associates to RISE TO THE TOP!!!STAY TUNED
