Merkley and Morgan - An acoustic collaboration of Merkley and long-time friend Steve Morgan (Vocals, guitar)...blues/country/Americana/rock.

The Crooners - An American roots band founded by Nyles Fitzgerald (Washtub Bass, drums, vocals), Merkley and Kevin Denton (Resonator guitar, bass, vocals). Merkley and Denton now carry the torch with the help of Thomas Bryan Eaton (a lot of things) and AJ Strauss (probably a couple more than Thom).
