Hummingbird on the Left

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I'm a graduate student of Cultural Anthropology at San Francisco State University, writing my thesis on the significance of woodpeckers to northern California Indian tribes. My research intrests concern human-animal cultural relationships. It is my hope that better understanding of our own connection to the natural world, and fostering of that connection, will contribute to our salvation from self-annhiliation. The world as we know it is on a fast track to calamity, so I'm just doing my bit to try to steer us to a more harmonious coexistence with all creatures and people.I love: Hummingbirds, Irish music, and chocolate. I dislike: cell phones, driving, and the Bush administration.I play the pennywhistle and traditional Irish music with my father and sister when I see them. I have also recently taken an interest to the ukelele. Other interests include gardening vegetables and ornamentals; dance; archery; filmmaking; people watching; yoga; and hearing live music.
