hi. i'm ryan, and i play bass in the new orleans/planet earth area. you can find me on bourbon st. with a colorful cast of characters (derive "colorful" however you like), or out and about with various cats.
i have a son, miles, almost ready to make a year, who has taken my family by storm, and everybody says he's a little "mini-me". so, suck on THAT, dr. evil! i have one, too! seriously, all that mushy stuff you all hear about, or see on Johnson & Johnson commercials? yeah, it's all true. you can't help it. speaking of kids, my wife and i have yet ANOTHER bun in the oven, due in aug. good thing i've been practicing my diaper changing technique this past year.also, check out the tune on my page. if you like it, it's because i'm playing bass (oh, and because it's a great song, written by a great songwriter, with some of the best musical minds around onboard). seriously, amy's new album, "Lushious Life", is out, and available in the usual fashion (iTunes, etc.) this album is one of the most enjoyable studio sessions i've had, and i'm really proud of how it's turned out. working with cats that i'm really comfortable with (dave rosser, producer/magician extraordinaire, jeff mills on the skins, chris cedars on guitars, sean carey making a cameo and laying down some STUPID vocals...and, of course amy, who's the reason this record was made in the first place. lurv ya!

i used to play w/ dan. although we actually met under grave circumstances (katrina), he quickly became close friends of both my wife and me. he'll be down for jazzfest this year, and i hope to give him a window to let some philly stank out.in the meantime, enjoy dan's 1st video. and watch out for this guy; he's creeping up on ya!
