My sister. My sister Cassie got diagnosed with the disease Alopecia when she was 16. Alopecia is when a person loses all the hair on their body, and a percentage of almost 90 of the people diagnosed with it don't ever grow it back. My sister is now 22 and still wears a wig to this day. She is my hero because she had the courage to tell her friends and her boyfriend that she had no hair, because she knew if they were her true friends they wouldn't think anything differnt of her. She always stayed positive through the whole thing because to her she was still the same person, and that bald can be beautiful. I know i couldn't even imagine losing my hair at the prime high school age of 16. My sisters whole life was changed. Because of her I don't freak out as much when my hair won't straighten or if it will poof in the rain, because I know it could always be worse. If she can live with no hair, then i can live with poofy hair.
