I've been performing in bands for over 20 years and thank God have never let up. Back in 2001, after a decade of experience with Spencer the Gardener, Eye Level, Spirit and the Bride, and countless others, I joined Samba Ngo's group (Congolese guitarist). This resulted in the serious poly-rhythmic schooling that I am so grateful for.
Among my subsequent musical adventures:
Several national tours with Bay Area Hammond B3 organ whiz and Jerry Garcia alumni Melvin Seals' groups JGB and The Melting Pot, playing in the first incarnation of The Avalon Allstars featuring Seals, Frank Zappa legends Napoleon Murphy Brock and Ike Willis, with Bay Area guitar gods Will Bernard and Tal Morris ; touring and doing a record with the Scott Law Band, jamming with the likes of the late-great Vassar Clements (at a very strange gig in New Jersey), Jeff Pevar, and Bobby Vega, recording with 'Memphis Horns' legend Wayne Jackson at legendary Royal Studio, Memphis, TN.
I've recorded three CD's and done some national touring with up-and-coming song-smith Til Willis.
In 2003 I became a founding member of Santa Cruz based Alt-Rock band Fainting Goats which has played all over the Bay Area. We put out a CD in 2006 and are currently working on a sophomore effort. I continue to back a variety of bands around the Monterey and SF Bay Areas including Danjuma & Onola, Highlife, and The Dani Paige Band. I'm currently working on tracks for Spirit and the Bride's sophomore release, and preparing to record a solo release this year
