Newby's located in Memphis, TN, Home of the Blues and Birthplace of Rock-n-Roll, was estalished in 1975 and changed ownership about 10 years ago. Known as the friendliest bar in town, with the tastiest marinated chicken sandwich under the sun, Newby's offers some of the best original menu items you'll find anywhere in Memphis.
Located on what used to be an old 50's strip with a movie theatre, diner, retail store, and soda/drug store, Newby's now has a pool hall, concerthall, bar, dining area, and full size patio. The bar/restuarant area offers occasional live music, usually small acoustic acts, in an intimate setting and the open-air back patio is always open for dining.
Home of the world famous EZ shooter and Rockstar Drink, Newby's has a fully stocked bar, and extensive beer selection. From the front patio, you can watch the huslte and bustle of busy Highland Avenue while you sit back and enjoy a cold beverage. Newby's menu is varied and offers a bit of something for everyone.
Newby's has a gameroom with 2 pool tables, 2 fooseball tables, many great video games, and one of the best jukeboxes around. The band venue, located next door to te bar has become a hotspot for nationally touring bands. The kitchen is open from 3pm to 2:30am, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
